Historical dates are calculated from the year of the birth of Jesus Christ. Therefore, you will find the letters B.C. and A.D. written after or before dates. For example, 10,000 BC or 1512 AD. BC stands for – ‘Before Christ’ and AD for ‘Anno Domini’ or, ‘in the year of lord’.
As man discovered the use of various metals, he progressed further, and with each new discovery, a new Age was recorded in history. Thus, we have the Bronze Age and the Iron Age.
