 Que. - Who took the first spacewalk?
Ans. - The cosmonaut (Russian astronaut) Alexei Leonov took a ten-minute spacewalk on 18th  March 1965. To make sure he did not float off, Leonov tied himself to his capsule.

Ans. - The first women in space was Russian. Valentina Tereshkova made a three day journey in Vostok6 In 1963. The first American woman in space was Sally Ride, in 1983.

Ans. - A young Russian pilot called Yuri Gagarin was the first person in space. He orbited the Earth in a small capsule called Vostak1 on 12 April 1961. His journey lasted less than two hours.

Ans. - Uranus was discovered in 1781. The man, who found it, William Herschel, was not expecting to find a planet at all. He thought he was pointing his homemade telescope at a distance star.

Que.7. – How can a day be longer than a year?
Ans. – A day is the amount of time a planet takes to spin on its axis , and a year is the time it takes to travel around the Sun. Venus spins on its axis very slowly, but orbits the Sun more quickly than Earth. A day on Venus lasts 243 Earth-days, but a year is only 225 Earth-days.
